In this post I pass on the <strong><em>Welfare to Work from Home Report 22,<\/em><\/strong><em> a <\/em>European research carried out by <a href=\"https:\/\/anws.co\/crxW2\/%7b8067ddd3-004a-419a-ac19-49093b757abd%7d\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><span data-ccp-charstyle=\"Hyperlink\">NFON<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"none\">European cloud-integrated business communications provider, which has surveyed workers across Europe to analyse <strong>the light and shadows of teleworking for mental health.<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/span>Among its main conclusions are the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"none\"><strong>Self-medication<\/strong>37.1% of Spaniards have taken an over-the-counter supplement since working from home with the aim of increasing their well-being. 22% have done so to increase their concentration and 18.2% have done so to improve their rest. Among the most consumed non-prescription supplements to improve well-being, Spaniards admit to have increased their consumption of vitamins by 92%, plant extracts by 82.4%, tea by 91.4%, melatonin (related to sleep) by 71.9% and hemp by 46%. <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"none\"><strong>Telework stressors map<\/strong>Among Spaniards, the lack of sociability was one of the most decisive factors, with 37.11 PT3T of those surveyed feeling stressed by the lack of social interaction with colleagues as a result of working from home. Similarly, technical problems or so-called techno-stress, defined as fatigue and mental exhaustion due to the excessive use of technology, was also identified as a stress enhancer by 21.5% of respondents. \u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong><span data-contrast=\"none\">The paradox of working from home:<\/span><\/strong> while 36% of Spaniards highlight as a positive point of teleworking having more time to spend with their family, 30% acknowledged having experienced an increase in workload and 26.8% in working hours. The positives and negatives contrast drastically: for the<span data-contrast=\"none\"> 36.81 PTw3T teleworking has meant a healthier diet and for 30.91 PTw3T an increase in time for sport. However, eating at home was a stress factor for 10.51 PTw3T of Spaniards and the lack of distinction between private and professional life was considered distressing for 30.81 PTw3T of them.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong><span data-contrast=\"none\">Job resignation as an escape route: <\/span><\/strong>25.6% of Spaniards plan to quit their job as a result of their experience of working from home, while 8.9% have already quit their job for this reason. Why? E<span data-contrast=\"none\">l 26% of respondents said that the pandemic had shown them that family and personal life must come first and a further 26% blamed a lack of flexibility in balancing work and personal life for their ambitions to leave the workforce. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Does this sound interesting to you?
